Configuring
Configuration
Data Pool
Master Data
To get started, you will need some configured building blocks.
These three steps "what", "how", and "who" will introduce you to the basic principles of configuring the IVA Control Center for your tests.
The item "Data pool" is part of the main menu on the left.
The data here will grow as more tests are performed and more test objects are added.

What to test
Test Objects
Attributes
With IVA you will be able to create a database of test objects and the attributes that define them.
Test Objects are added to the Data Pool.
You will need these to create Tests. Each test must be assigned one or more test objects, which are then evaluated individually by the testers.
Test objects need a name and unique identifier key. Attributes and values are assigned to each test object.
DATA POOL > TEST OBJECTS
Attributes are descriptors for test objects.
Attributes are added to Master data. Attributes must be given an internal name and a description which is what testers will see. Attributes are assigned value fields in different forms, like numerical values, drop down lists or dates.

Categories

Feedback
With IVA, data is structured by categories and is collected in the form of questionnaires or feedback.
Categories are added to the Master Data and used to structure test data/results from questionnaires or feedback.
Category sets can be created for different test types.
MASTER DATA > CATEGORIES
TEMPLATES > CATEGORY SETS
Questions are added to the data pool individually and added to one or more questionnaires.
Questionnaires or questionnaire series can be attached to each test and can be answered for each test object.
DATA POOL > QUESTIONS
TEMPLATES > QUESTIONNAIRES
Feedback allows testers to document any of their observations ad hoc, from customer experiences to structured issue descriptions.
When activated, Feedback can accept additional media files from the tester or collect GPS data.
Testers must add a description, category and rating to each feedback.

User Roles
From test drivers + benchmarking pools to engineer + management teams, IVA testers are diverse.
Planners can access every IVA Control Center feature in their assigned divisions.
Because of data dependencies and as planners can access and overwrite each other’s activities, coordination and communication are of importance.
Planners can add new users and give them the “Tester” role. Only Administrators can give users the “Planner” role.
Under “Master Data”, users can be added and given the “Tester” role for a division. Testers can also be assigned to specific tests.
Testers are added under “Master data “ and can be assigned to divisions and relevant tests.
Users that only have the "Tester" role do not have access to the IVA Control Center and are redirected to the Web-App when they try to log in
To have only the relevant tabs shown to testers in the Web- and IVA-App, planners can activate or deactivate the “Instructions", "Feedback" and "Questionnaires" functions for a test.
MASTER DATA > TESTERS
Instructions can be added to a test to ensure certain actions are carried out.
If instructions are used, testers will be asked to document if the instruction was successfully carried out and to give an explanation if it was not.

Publish Test
Once you've completed the basic configuration, you have all the components you need to start planning and publishing tests.
Evaluations are quick and easy to create. In IVA, they are used to organize tests - often by test types or specific test events.
By defining the relevant test objects, testers and feedback categories for an evaluation, you can save time by using them for all tests in that evaluation.
EVALUATIONS > OVERVIEW
Tests are created and configured in an evaluation.
Required configuration:
Test type - one of these three:
Closed test - only visible to the invited tester.
Internal test - visible to all users assigned the role “Tester” in that division.
Public test - accessible by anyone via web link.
Title and description - Testers will see this information when starting a test.
Test objects - Tests must be assigned at least one from the evaluation or the data pool.
Testers - Closed Tests must have at least one tester from the evaluation or the data pool.
Questionnaires or Feedback - A test must have at least one method of testing assigned to it.
Categories - must be assigned to the test when using feedback.
Optional configuration:
Start and end date / Duration - Information to help with planning
Instructions - if specif tasks should be completed by testers
Test Attributes - New feature release coming soon
EVALUATIONS > TEST
Before it is published, a test is always in the “Draft” status. This allows planners to make changes at any time and to do trial runs (collected draft data will be deleted once published).
To edit a published test, change the status to "Stopped”. The test will not be visible to testers until the status is returned to "Published".
Published tests are accessible for all authorized testers via the corresponding links and QR code.

Exports
IVA Reports gives planners an overview of all test results for a division. It is the primary component to track progress, analyze test data, and deliver reports at the required granularity
There are two modes of reviewing test results using the menu items:
Select Tests - sorts tests per evaluation and lists assigned test objects with test results.
Select Test Object - sorts test objects and lists all evaluations and tests with test data for that test object.
To start reviewing test data, click on the results you wish to analyze with a value greater than "0": instructions, feedback or questionnaires. As soon as a tester has inputed data, the results will change from “0” to the total number of completed actions / values
Once the test results have opened you can switch through the applicable result type using the dropdown.
REPORTS > SELECT TESTS
REPORTS > SELECT TEST OBJECTS
IVA provides planners with a detailed overview of all test data and its visualization.
Filter and compare data across tests – based on categories, test objects, attributes, positive or negative ratings and more.
The Selection component allows Planners to compare and analyze data across evalutions based on the current filter.
REPORTS > SELECT TESTS > FEEDBACK
Test results and analysis can be exported in various formats for reporting or data transfer.
Feedback can be exported as CSV, PDF or Excel files or saved directly to a standardized Excel template. Click the checkbox 'Use current filtering' to export the test results as selected.
Questionnaires can be exported as CSV files. Printable versions are also available.
